area. Michael Mitchell studied for the Methodist ministry, and was
assistant to the senior minister for the First Methodist Church in

Manchester, NH 03103
(603) 396-7564
BandAidBusJockey@aol.com

Matt has been a paramedic in the Manchaster, NH area for
over ten years. He was raised a Catholic, but as he grew older
his curiosity led him to a knowledge and respect for other
religions. He was ordained a non-denominational minister
several years ago because of his love for spirituality and his
desire to share blessings with others, much of it an outgrowth
of his years on the front lines of medical trauma. He recently
came to appreciate contemporary Catholicism, with a
compulsion to read contemporary theology books, and while
finishing his bachelor's degree in theology and looking forward
to working on a M.A. His primary focus is in weddings and
work with the dying. It was a special joy for Bishop Jim Burch to
ordain this young man in his late twenties to the Catholic
priesthood in our diocese on January 18, 2006.

[Incognito]
Midwestern United States of America

There is another ordained Catholic priest within the Catholic
Diocese of One Spirit, but he is not publicly listed because he
has served, and is currently still serving, as a member of a
Protestant church. Our diocese has no problem with this kind of
mixture of Protestantism and Catholicism, but feels that, at this
time and because of the prejudices still existing as tensions
within Christianity, it is better not to make this an issue. When
religious societies have evolved more toward the
understanding of what is essential and what is not, we will be
able to be more open about such ministry.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Incognita]
Midwestern United States of America

The Catholic Diocese of One Spirit is honored to be able to
encourage and validate the calling to priestly ministry of
women. Among the most remarkable women alive today are
thousands of Roman Catholic nuns, many of whom are called
to ordination,. Our "incognita" priest is a prominent Roman
Catholic sister. She has been ordained "in camera." Just as
Rome designates cardinals "in camera" and then is justified in
denying their identities because of the grave danger of
persecution if such designation becomes known, so too do we
ordain current Roman Catholic nuns (others are in the pipeline)
"in camera" and deny identifying them. Sadly, this is because
of the real danger of rejection, ejection and homelessness
which would befall them from their own church if such ordination
were known. God bless these brave and dedicated women!
