Other Ministries

In actuality, anyone who feels himself or herself to be a member
of the Catholic Diocese of One Spirit is ("unofficially") a
member. The only individuals who must be formally affiliated
with the Catholic Diocese of One Spirit in order to be
"members" are priests, deacons or bishops, those whose
leadership role is sacramental and pastoral, flowing from
Apostolic Succession through the history of the Church.

There are three types of communal members in the Catholic
Diocese of One Spirit who apply for recognition and, if granted,
are then formally affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of One
Spirit. The Statutes of the Catholic Diocese of One Spirit define
these types of members as:

- A church (parish) (note: this can be either a home church or a
spirituality center) is a spiritual group that contains at least
fifteen lay members who do not enjoy membership in any other
church and gather together for services.
- A community is defined as an entity formed for a particular
religious purpose with the intent of observing some type of
formal spiritual commitment to a set of rules or principles.
- An organization is defined as a group of people who are
bound towards a common goal within an established framework
that does not necessarily include spiritual principles or
commitments.

Other active ministry roles for priests or bishops within the
Catholic Diocese of One Spirit include, but are not limited to:
weddings, pet theology, drama presentations, retreats and
lectures, self-directed retreats, home liturgies, blessings,
funerals, jail chaplain, military chaplain, old age home chaplains,
hospital chaplains, member of a monastery, retreat or seminar
leader, (for a bishop) servant to other priests and their
communities, etc.
